Natural Disaster Response Preparedness
HLCN was founded in 2018 to help our community after it was devastated by a flood. In conjunction with local Emergency Management, we are often deployed to set up respite stations for First Responders and assist impacted families during and in the aftermath of disaster.
The Commissary
The commissary supplies donated hygiene and home cleaning products to families and individuals that can not afford them. These items include bathing products, deodorant, oral-care, incontinence supplies, feminine hygiene, laundry soaps, bathroom cleaners and more.
Medical Supplies and Durable Medical Equipment
In partnership with Baylor-Scott and White’s “Faith In Action” and other local helpers, we take donations of durable medical equipment (DME) and other medical supplies to redistribute them to non-profit organizations or individuals who can not otherwise afford them.
Freezer Meals Ministry
Frozen casseroles and other meals are kept on hand and distributed to those who we interact with on a daily basis. These are readily available for quick deployment to new foster placements, illness, unforeseen circumstances, or to anyone who needs a meal.
